Joseph Conwell is a native of New Hope, Alabama. He is a third generation attorney serving Madison County. He received his law degree from Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama in December of 1998. Joseph is the Owner/President of the law firm of Joseph T. Conwell, III, P.C. and Owner/President of Conwell Title & Escrow, Inc. Prior to opening his own firm and title company he practiced with the Rahmati Law Firm and served as the managing attorney over the firms Real Estate Department from October 2011 to April 2015. Prior joining Rahmati Law Firm, Joseph was in private practice for 11 years with his father J. Thomas Conwell, Jr., in the firm of Conwell & Conwell. He has handled a wide variety of legal matters ranging from Capital Murder/Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, Wills, Estates, Real Estate Transactions, and Drafting and Preparing Corporate and Business Entity Documentation. Joseph is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association. He graduated High School from Madison Academy in 1990. He attended undergraduate school at Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee where he received a BBA in Business Management in 1994. Joseph, his wife Crista and their children live in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Joseph enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, rodeo and travelling.

Amanda Hinshaw has over 20 years of experience and is knowledgeable in every aspect of title and escrow services. She currently handles post-closing matters, policy production, and many other tasks as well. She believes your closing doesn’t end when you sign the papers, and she is committed to making sure you continue to experience exceptional service. She enjoys the relationships built with our clients and providing the best possible experience from beginning to end. She and her husband have been married for over 20 years and have three children. As a family, they enjoy being active in their church and spending as much quality time together as possible. 

Debbie Albers is a dedicated and tenacious professional who enjoys helping your closing process go smoothly every step of the way! Debbie has been in the real estate business since 2018 and has a background in government contracts and accounting; she is known for being determined in getting the information needed to get to closing. Those who know her best describe her as “positive, high-energy, and a problem solver.” In her spare time, Debbie enjoys road trips and long walks with her husband of over 40 years, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her grandchildren. If you’re closing on a residential or commercial property, rest assured, Debbie will handle your file with care.

Laura Burris is a dependable, dedicated professional with over 25 years of experience in real estate, residential construction, and banking. Her extensive knowledge, strong work ethic, accuracy, follow-through, and ability to problem-solve efficiently are an asset to the Conwell Title team. She is conscientious in the execution of her duties and in communicating with her clients. Those who know Laura best describe her as dedicated, loyal, resolute, and kind. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, taking road trips, and spending time with family. You can be confident that your clients and closings are in skilled hands with Laura.

Erikka Blake is an accomplished and proficient individual that thoroughly enjoys her position as Title Coordinator. Erikka has experience working with Builders, and Mortgage Loan Processing and has background in Design. She is known for having exceptional organizational skills and being very detail oriented and meticulous. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two energetic boys. Erikka does her very best to ensure every Transaction has her full attention.

Morgan serves as Receptionist and Post-Closing Assistant, assisting with the final steps of the real estate closing process after a transaction has closed. She is responsible for ensuring closings are accurately completed, organized, and finalized. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly approach helps to ensure that each transaction is properly completed. Outside of work, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, knitting, and reading. 

As Escrow Assistant to real estate attorney, Joseph Conwell III, Julia provides hands-on administrative and document-preparation support for a variety of probate, estate planning, and real estate matters.

A significant part of Julia’s work involves assisting with probating estates. She helps gather and organize information regarding the deceased person’s assets, property, beneficiaries, heirs, and estate documentation and prepares and organizes the paperwork needed throughout the probate process. Julia understands that probating an estate can be an emotional and overwhelming experience for families and takes pride in being a patient, compassionate, and dependable resource during the probate process to keep it moving as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Julia also provides support with estate planning matters, assisting client and attorney with gathering and organizing the information needed to prepare important planning documents, including Last Wills and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Health Care Directives. In addition to Estate Probating and Estate Planning, Julia prepares Quitclaim Deeds and other real estate documents for attorney review.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys horse riding and thrift-store shopping. 

Shana has an affinity for math and numbers and a strong work ethic making her role as Title Escrow Closer a perfect fit. She earned her degree in Computer Science and applies her analytical skills to ensure each transaction closes smoothly and efficiently. When she’s not preparing settlement statements and managing escrows, Shana enjoys being involved at church, bicycling, and playing pickleball. She loves spending time with her husband, their 3 children, and their grandkids.
